A recent survey from The Trichological Society, which have been looking into the effects of poor hair extensions want to warn people that although some salons will be offering this procedure at a low cost it’s not all good news as this can cause irreversible damage to your scalp such as bald patches and alopecia, some of the blame may be down to the poor or no training of the hairdresser.
The Trichological Society go on to warn that poor hair extensions will pull the natural hair and as the extensions start to tangle you may be in danger of pulling out your own natural hair.
Remember not all salons are the same, if you wish to get hair extensions talk to a professional hairdresser and they will inform you correctly of how to look after your hair extensions and also the hazards to avoid and hopefully this will help put your mind at ease.
